What injuries can I claim for?
You do not have to sustain a serious injury to be entitled to compensation. You are entitled in law to be compensated for any injury arising out of a non-fault accident which you sustain.
How much will it cost me to make a claim?
The claim costs you nothing, win or lose. We appoint solicitors who enter into a Conditional Fee Agreement in relation to their legal costs – essentially no win, no fee - and may take out an Insurance Policy to protect you against any other potential costs.
Is there a time limit on submitting a claim for personal injuries?
There is a statutory limit of three years from the date of the accident and a claim can be submitted at any stage during this period
How much will I get for a personal injury claim?
It depends on what type of injuries you have sustained, how long it has taken to recover from them and what other losses you have incurred as a result. Compensation amounts vary for different injuries and the areas of the body affected.
How long will a claim for personal injuries take to settle?
This will largely depend on the nature of the injury involved. Straightforward injuries should be resolved and settled within a six to twelve month period.
Do I need to have reported my injuries to my GP or hospital?
It can be beneficial to have a written record of the injuries either at your GP or hospital but this is not essential. If you have not been to visit your GP or hospital it should not prevent you from presenting a claim. However it is not essential for you to have sought medical assistance immediately.
Who will represent me in my claim for personal injuries?
Our specialist personal injury solicitors who have agreed to our exceptional service standards will represent you.
Can I be compensated for losses other than injuries?
You are entitled to recover any loss which you incur as a result of an accident including damaged clothing, expenses and loss of earnings.
Will I have to visit a solicitors office?
You will not be inconvenienced or expected to attend the offices of our appointed Panel Solicitor. The appointed Panel Solicitor will instruct an Assessor upon receipt of instructions who will arrange a confidential home visit at your convenience.
Will I have to go to court?
You will only have to attend court if you are asked by the Judge or if you receive a Court Order.
Do I have to pay for medical expenses?
You do not have to pay a medical expert to assess your injuries. However, if you pay for prescriptions or specialist medical attention, we will recover this money within your compensation claim.
